Something that’s been going around for some time are scammers posing as legit companies (Microsoft, Dell, etc) that call you and claim that something’s wrong with your computer(s) and offer to conveniently fix it for a fee.

If you get a call from these people, who may sound very convincing, don’t fall for their scams!  What will happen is you will pay them a certain fee, they’ll log onto your computer, and do some bogus maintenance that offers you really nothing in terms of gains.

They may want you to download a piece of software from the Internet or from email….don’t do it.  If you feel there is something genuinely wrong with the way your computer is behaving, you can call us at the number at the top, and we’ll be glad to help you get it straightened out.
